Granny's House

Starting after baseball practice I go home shower and pack for the trip to my grandparent’s house in Willows California. I packed shirts pants shoes socks and all the rest. With the absence of my mom on the trip there, I got to control the radio, which in my family is a privilege. We were hurrying to catch carpool, but we didn’t make it in time by two hours. By the time we got to the off ramp to get on the 505 we were super late. I wasn't sure if my grandparents would even be awake.
We were rolling up into the small town of Willows when we see five highway patrol officers and a couple sheriffs. A drug bust was happening, and we got to see it firsthand. We went by and kept driving down the street, to continue on our way to my grandparent’s house. We strolled up to the front driveway, and parked the van. We take all of our personal belongings out of the van and walk up to the front door. I open the front door, and walk in. Amazingly enough they were awake and we could settle down and put our stuff in our rooms.
We continued on to go into the family room and watch TV and eat some food. I had some leftover chicken casserole and a glass of natural spring water that was pumped out of the ground behind the house. I ate my food in the dining room as the dog stared at me with wide eyes and its mouth open. I was tempted to give it some food but I didn’t. Then I returned to the family room to watch some nighttime television. It ended up that I watched the opening of the Olympic Games, and I actually enjoyed it. Just for fun every time we noticed a large population with only one competitor we all laughed and continued watching TV and telling jokes.
